Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and ensure all dental equipment is ready for procedures.
- Assist dentists during various treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and other medical imaging to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring all medical documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and compliance with infection control protocols.
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and adhere to infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient flow.
- Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding to accurately document procedures and diagnoses.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment.
- Familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following proper aseptic techniques.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
- Experience with chairside assisting across various specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, and medical documentation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups alongside dentists for optimal patient care.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
