Dental Assistant

Searching for a part-time Dental Assistant to begin immediately. Preferred candidate will hold an Iowa Dental Assistant License and CPR Certificate with some in-field work experience. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a current Iowa Dental Assistant License (or complete process within 6 months of hire) and CPR Certificate
• The person needs to be kind, energetic, professional, have a positive attitude and be highly motivated.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, dental software (e.g. Dentrix) and computer skills, great time management, deliver excellent exam notes, and a willingness to learn.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• PATIENT INTERACTION: Greeting patients; Reviewing patient charts prior to appointments; Updating patient records including vitals, medical information and detailed exam notes; Confirming insurance and billing information.
• PROCEDURE ASSISTANCE: Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments and other equipment in compliance with OSHA standards and CDC guidelines; Assisting the Dentist during dental procedures including through exam notes.
• TECHNICAL SKILLS: Proficient in taking radiographs and vitals, using a digital scanner and ensuring details accurately added to patient charts; Experience with dental software (e.g. Dentrix) and some computer skills.
• CLINICAL ADMINISTRATION: Inform Front Office | Billing support groups of each patient's procedures with the Dentist's directions with detailed exam notes for follow-up including future pre | post instructions and next appointment.
• OTHER DUTIES: Ensure office stays clean and safe for patients and team. Added duties as needed.

• Hours include weekly Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8am-2:30pm; with potential expansion

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.50 - $21.00 per hour
