Smilewell is looking for a dependable and versatile Dental Assistant to join our North Bethesda team. Compensation: $23 – $30 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support
Provide chairside assistance for a variety of procedures, including restorative work (fillings, crowns, bridges, implant restorations) as well as more advanced treatments such as implant placement, endodontics (root canals), and Invisalign.

Technology & Digital Workflow
Utilize modern dental technology, including iTero scanning and CBCT imaging, to assist with patient care and treatment planning.

Operatory & Workflow Coordination
Set up and break down operatories, maintain sterilization standards, and contribute to keeping the daily schedule running smoothly.

Inventory & Supplies Management
Oversee clinical inventory and ordering to ensure the office remains fully stocked and operational.

Team Collaboration
Work closely with the hygiene team by assisting with charting, room preparation, patient seating, and operatory turnover when needed.

Qualifications

Experience
Prior dental assisting experience is required, along with a solid understanding of instruments, materials, and general dentistry procedures.

Certification
Radiology Certification is required.

Work Style
Seeking someone who is team-focused and willing to jump in wherever needed to support overall office operations.

Preferred (Not Required)

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

• Invisalign workflows (records, attachments)
• Endodontic assisting
• Dental photography
• Interest in contributing to social media content for the practice

Schedule

• Monday & Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Note: An occasional Saturday (approximately once per month) may be added in the future.
