In this vital role, you will support dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure a smooth flow of operations within the clinic, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Duties

  • Assist dentists chairside during procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
  • Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed
  • Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology explanations
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with dental receptionists and updating medical documentation
  • Maintain clinical cleanliness and sterilization standards while adhering to infection control guidelines

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental assisting procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR systems including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation
  • Proficiency in taking X-rays, including intraoral images and 3D scans, with an understanding of radiation safety protocols
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics
  • Experience supporting pediatric dentistry patients is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
