Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
• Take dental X-rays as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist with prosthodontic procedures.
• Maintain an aseptic technique throughout all procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
• Support the dental team with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
• Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and familiarity with medical coding is advantageous.
• Experience with prosthodontics and general dentistry procedures is desirable.
• Ability to operate dental equipment, including X-ray machines and 3D scanners.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
