Columbus Endodontics & Hometown Endodontics – Full Time Dental Assistant
Columbus Endodontics and Hometown Endodontics are patient focused specialty practices dedicated to serving our communities through compassionate care and clinical excellence. We are seeking a dependable, detail oriented Dental Assistant who takes pride in providing an exceptional patient experience and enjoys working in a supportive, team centered environment.
This full time position is ideal for a motivated self starter who is organized, efficient, and comfortable working across two locations. The right candidate will be committed to helping patients feel at ease throughout their treatment while maintaining a high standard of clinical care.
Schedule (Full Time, Travel Required)
- Mondays: Hometown Endodontics (Auburn, AL) — 6:45 AM – 4:00 PM CST
- Wednesdays: Columbus Endodontics — 8:00 AM EST (supply ordering & weekly preparation)
- Thursdays & Fridays: Columbus Endodontics — 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Assist the doctor chairside during endodontic procedures, including root canal therapy, retreatments, and related treatments
- Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA and infection control standards
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Take and process dental radiographs
- Ensure all necessary materials and instruments are prepared prior to patient arrival
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical notes
- Provide patients with post operative instructions and education
- Monitor patient comfort and assist with patient needs during procedures
Patient Care Duties
- Greet patients and create a welcoming, comfortable environment
- Review medical histories and update patient records
- Assist with patient flow to ensure appointments run efficiently and on time
- Provide excellent customer service and compassionate care to patients who may be anxious or in pain
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Weekly Preparation Duties (Wednesdays)
- Order and manage clinical supplies
- Deep clean and organize clinical areas
- Restock treatment rooms
- Sterilize and prepare instrument kits for the upcoming week
- Ensure the office is fully prepared for patient care
Qualifications
- Prior Dental Assistant experience required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to travel between Auburn, AL and Columbus, GA
- Positive attitude and team oriented mindset
- Commitment to delivering high quality patient care
