Our busy dental practice is searching for a dedicated Dental Assistant (2-4 DAYS/WEEK) who can keep the examination rooms clean and assist during patient appointments. We need someone who can perform basic dental procedures, take patient x-rays, and maintain complex client records with utmost confidentiality. The ideal candidate for this position has experience working with patients of all ages.
Dental Assistant responsibilities
- Prevent the spread of infection and disease by maintaining a surgically clean work environment
- Provide support to dentist and staff as needed
- Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing instruments and moving equipment into place
- Assist in updating and maintaining client dental records
- Offer patients advice and materials necessary to maintain good dental health
Dental Assistant skills
- Comprehensive understanding of dental instruments
- Exceptional customer service skills
- 1 year experience as a Dental Assistant preferred (not required)
- Strong knowledge of computer programs
- X-ray certification required
- Impression taking and pouring of models
