Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering effective treatments. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist with digital impressions.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or Epic software.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to young patients.
- Perform four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Assist in endodontics procedures as required.
- Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is advantageous.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Experience with 3D scanning technology is beneficial.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols is required.
