Dental Assistant

Our privately owned practice is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

Part time with definite potential to go full time.

Monday: 7:30am- 5:00pm

Tuesday: 6:30am -4:00pm

Wednesday: 6:30am-3:00pm

Thursday: 7:30am-2:00pm

Dental Assistant Qualifications:

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
• Take and process X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
• Manage patient records using Open Dental, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Perform routine tasks such as sterilizing instruments, cleaning treatment rooms, and managing inventory of supplies.
• Utilize 3D scanners (iTero)for imaging when required, enhancing the precision of dental treatments.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with dental terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare environment.
• Experience with Open Dental is preferred.
• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines is essential
