Dental Assistant – Hamerink Dental
Hamerink Dental is a family-owned dental practice focused on comprehensive, patient-centered care. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality dentistry in a professional, friendly, and team-oriented environment.
Our practice performs a wide range of procedures in-house, including extractions, bone grafting, clear aligners, and implant placement, offering a dynamic and engaging clinical environment.
We are looking for an experienced dental assistant who takes pride in their work, is detail-oriented, and truly enjoys helping people.
Compensation
$25–$28/hour based on experience and skill level
Approximately 25–30 consistent hours per week
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, efficiency, and ability to contribute to a high-quality practice
Schedule
Monday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
One Saturday per month (8:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
No summer Saturdays
Role Overview
You will assist the doctor in delivering high-quality care while helping ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive patient experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and instruments
- Assist chairside during a wide range of procedures, including surgical and restorative care
- Take digital X-rays
- Chart treatment and assist with treatment planning
- Take impressions and manage lab cases
- Maintain inventory and operatory organization
- Ensure sterilization and infection control standards are met
- Support front desk and answer phones when needed
- Provide excellent patient communication and customer service
What We’re Looking For
- Dental assisting experience REQUIRED (minimum 3 year preferred)
- This is not an entry-level position — applicants without dental assisting experience will not be considered
- Experience assisting with surgical procedures (or willingness to learn) is a plus
- X-ray certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to multitask and stay efficient in a fast-paced setting
- Positive attitude and strong team mentality
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Occasional lifting (under 25 lbs)
- Bending, reaching, and assisting chairside
- Exposure to standard dental clinical environment (including X-rays and sterilization areas)
