Dental Assistant

Are you a motivated dental assistant looking for a supportive home? Millennium Way Dental Studio is a growing practice with one full-time doctor and one part-time doctor. We are looking for a team-oriented individual to join us in a hybrid role: 2 days of chairside assisting and 2 days as a hygiene assistant.

Our office hours are 830 am-5 pm Mon-Thur. We offer PTO and paid holidays and a great 401K program. We DO NOT offer medical insurance at this time.

We have 1 full time doctor and one part time doctor. There is a lot of room for advancement and we also encourage our staff to advance their skills. we told our last assistant to apply to hygiene school and she got in and thats why we need a new assistant

The Dental Assistant manages the logistical, preparatory, and supportive tasks that keep the hygiene department running smoothly.A Dental Hygiene Assistant is a critical team member who supports dental hygienists and dentists to ensure patient visits are efficient and comfortable.

Core Responsibilities

• Chairside Assisting: Provide four-handed dentistry assistance during a variety of treatment procedures
• Patient Preparation: Greeting and escorting patients to treatment rooms, updating medical histories, and ensuring the patient is comfortable before the hygienist arrives.
• Radiography: Taking high-quality digital x-rays as directed.
• Infection Control: Sterilizing dental instruments, cleaning and disinfecting treatment rooms between patients, and maintaining infection control protocols.
• Administrative Tasks: Documenting clinical findings in patient charts, scheduling follow-up appointments, and managing dental supply inventory.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate dental software, X-ray machines, and ultrasonic cleaning units.
• Interpersonal Skills: A compassionate and calming demeaner to help ease the anxiety of nervous patients.
• Certification: MUST be Xray certified.
