Sterling Dental Care is a patient-centered practice committed to excellence in care and professionalism. We’re looking for a reliable, experienced, and motivated Lead Dental Assistant to join our growing team.

Position Overview:
The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in the clinical team by managing chairside duties, supporting the dentist in procedures, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing supply inventory and operatory flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide chairside assistance during all clinical procedures
• Oversee sterilization protocols, instrument processing, and operatory turnover
• Monitor and coordinate dental equipment maintenance and service
• Assist in training and mentoring junior dental assistants
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
• Record and maintain accurate patient treatment documentation in Dentrix
• Manage ordering, stocking, and tracking of dental supplies and materials
• Fabricate and cement temporary crowns
• Take preliminary and final dental impressions
• Perform intraoral scans using digital scanning systems
• Take digital X-rays
• Support patient comfort and education throughout their visit

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a dental assistant
• Proficiency in temporary crowns, impressions, and digital scans
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
