Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the clinical operations of the practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining infection control standards, and enhancing patient comfort throughout their visit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection control protocols.
• Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting for general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry cases.
• Take dental radiographs (X-ray) and operate advanced imaging equipment such as 3D scanners.
• Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices.
• Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with the dental reception team.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards.

Skills

• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding essential for accurate record keeping.
• Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry as well as specialized fields like prosthodontics and endodontics.
• Familiarity with infection control procedures, aseptic technique, and sterilization protocols.
• Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners effectively.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, and collaborate with team members such as dental receptionists and hygienists.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
