Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting the dental team with clinical and administrative tasks. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced dental technology and maintaining strict infection control standards. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation. A strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and various specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics will ensure success in this position.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- X-rays, when applicable, ensuring proper safety measures for patients and staff
- Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including medical coding and documentation of procedures
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental treatments, including general dentistry, pediatrics, prosthodontics, and endodontics
- Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting with front desk duties as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures including X-ray techniques, vital signs measurement, and chairside assisting in multiple specialties (general dentistry, pediatrics, prosthodontics)
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Certification or training in radiography or related fields is desirable but not mandatory
Pay: $24.73 - $31.78 per hour
