Duties

  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental instrumemts, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures
  • Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
  • Take dental X-rays and medical imaging to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) through Dentrix while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality
  • Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort during procedures
  • Monitor vital signs and ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques
  • Support administrative tasks by helping manage medical documentation and records

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a dental office environment is a must, especially with general dentistry practices
  • Proficiency with Dentrix is essential for managing patient data effectively
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding enhances your ability to assist accurately and efficiently
  • Familiarity with medical documentation standards including HIPAA regulations ensures compliance with privacy laws
  • Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists, office manager, hygienists, and dentists

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
