Dental Assistant

Job Overview
As a Dental Assistant at our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office by assisting the dental team and providing excellent patient care.

Duties
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Perform infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Utilize knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding
- Taking Impressions
- Practice aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality

Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred but not required (Willing to train the right person
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus
- Knowledge of medical documentation
- Understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
