Ready for a change?? We are a fun group of dental rockstars seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join us! The ideal candidate will be a team player with a great work ethic. You will play a crucial role in providing the exceptional patient care and amazing patient experiences that our office is known for. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, strict adherence infection control practices, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, adaptability, and compassion.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment for dental procedures.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Manage patient records and documentation using EMR systems.
- Provide chairside assistance, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as required.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Eaglesoft, Open Dental) and familiarity with medical documentation processes.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Experience in general dentistry practices.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting, including taking vital signs, utilizing digital scanners, and utilizing intraoral and 3D CBCT xray equipment.
- Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, prosthodontics, endodontics, and infection control measures.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical coding and records management is a plus.
