Duties

  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
  • Assist dentists during procedures such as restorations, extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and providing chairside support.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and records management.
  • Manage patient flow by greeting patients as a dental receptionist, verifying medical history, updating medical records using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, and scheduling appointments efficiently.
  • Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical coding and insurance processing to streamline billing and claims.Experience
  • Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry practices.
  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, infection control practices, and anatomy knowledge is essential.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Softdent for managing medical records and documentation is required.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding enhances your ability to accurately record procedures and communicate effectively within the team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of aseptic technique, infection control standards, and proper sterilization methods ensures patient safety at all times.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
