Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
• Assist dentists during procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism
• Take high-quality dental X-rays and operate imaging equipment including 3D scanners to support accurate diagnoses
• Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients, especially pediatric patients, to ensure safety during treatments
• Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and patient comfort
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing dental receptionist duties, and maintaining organized medical records

Experience

• Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures
• Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record management
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care
• Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
• Ability to perform dental assisting duties confidently in pediatric dentistry settings and handle diverse patient needs
• Familiarity with medical imaging tools including 3D scanners and digital radiography equipment
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for safeguarding patient information
