Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly following infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging such as 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes.
- Support the front desk team as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently only as needed.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to assist with patient education and accurate medical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry practices.
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking vital signs, and medical coding is essential.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Experience with medical documentation, records management, and medical terminology supports accurate record keeping.
- Certification in X-ray technology or radiography is required.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge are critical for success in this role. Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
