Dental Assistant

Job Summary

Duties

  • Assist dentists during various procedures including hygiene, restorations, endodontics, implants, oral surgery and orthodontics.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly using aseptic techniques.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
  • Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix; document treatment details thoroughly.
  • Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology efficiently, managing medical imaging, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal workflow.
  • Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary and assist with medical documentation related to medical history or coding.

Experience

  • Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental assisting procedures including X-ray techniques, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
  • Knowledge of Dentrix software is a must.
  • Understanding of dental terminology across general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry to communicate effectively with team members and patients.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry to support precise patient care.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage medical records securely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards. Join us in delivering outstanding dental care! Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
