Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared efficiently.
• Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Take and develop digital X-rays, ensuring accurate positioning and image quality for diagnosis.
• Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Support patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly, and assisting with chairside assisting to improve patient comfort.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control protocols and OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient scheduling, reception duties as a dental receptionist when needed, and accurate medical documentation for each patient visit.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience assisting with pediatric patients is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and support patients throughout their visit.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
