Hourly compensation based on experience and skill

Our office is open 8-5pm M-T, 11-8pm W-Th, and 8-5pm Friday, & 8-2pm Saturdays.

We work a combination of morning and evening shifts that are between 9-11 hours long. **** GOOD NEWS- WE HAVE 4 DAY WORK WEEKS

Some Saturdays are a must.

Job Types: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients in the dental office and performs new patient interviews and tours
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and procedural materials
• Sterilize instruments and treatment rooms in accordance to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain accurate patient records

Skills

• Proven experience as dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of OSHA health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
• Exceptional computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma
• Dental assisting certificate preferred
• Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
