Our private dental practice is looking for a friendly and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a small, supportive office that works well together and takes pride in creating a positive experience for every patient.

Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and electronic health documentation will help us maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Assist dentist chairside during general dentistry, crown and bridge, extractions, and pediatric dentistry procedures using aseptic techniques and proper infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and equipment, including X-ray machines and 3D scanners
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Manage electronic health records in Open Dental PMS, document patient information accurately and securely
- Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, treatment planning and updating medical documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment by following infection control standards and sterilization procedures
- Placing supply orders and inventory management
- Complete weekly, monthly and annual maintenance checklists
Preferred Skills:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with Open Dental, Dexis, and DS Core ; experience with dental coding is a plus
- Certification in X-ray technology and proficiency in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures in a dental setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatric patients; experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred
- Knowledge of dental specialties such as prosthodontics and endodontics enhances your ability to support diverse procedures
- Excellent organizational skills to manage medical records, documentation, and appointment scheduling efficiently
We have a wonderful patient base and a positive team environment. While dental experience is helpful, we also value candidates who are motivated, eager to learn, and looking for a long-term career.
Schedule:
- 4-day work week
- Fall/Winter: alternating Mon–Thurs and Tues–Fri (every other weekend is a 4-day weekend)
- Summer: Mon–Thurs
- 32-36 hours per week up to 40
