Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate medical documentation
- Assist with pediatric dental procedures
- Conduct patient assessments and record vital signs
- Utilize Open Dental software for patient scheduling and treatment planning
- Assist with CAD/CAM technology for dental restorations
- Maintain and update patient dental records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a dental assistant program with RDA Certificate
- X-ray certification required
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with dental software preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
