Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care. In this hands-on position, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure efficient clinic operations, and help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your skills in chairside assisting, infection control, radiography, and patient communication will contribute to high-quality, compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry while ensuring patient comfort and workflow efficiency
- Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms following strict infection control and aseptic protocols
- Take and process dental X-rays using digital imaging equipment, including 3D systems
- Accurately manage patient records in EMR systems (Denticon experience preferred but not required) in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Support patients by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing questions to reduce anxiety
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment and uphold infection control standards
- Collaborate on medical documentation, coding, and comprehensive record updates
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in General Dentistry
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with strong knowledge of dental and medical terminology
- Experience with Denticon EMR preferred (not mandatory)
- X-ray certification and proficiency in chairside assisting (four-handed dentistry)
- Solid understanding of infection control, aseptic technique, and dental anatomy
- Strong communication skills with a professional and empathetic approach
- Pay range is flexible and will be dependent on experience.
