Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
• Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and surgical dentistry by providing chairside support and managing dental instruments
• Take high-quality X-ray images using digital radiography equipment while maintaining proper safety standards for patients and staff
• Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times
• Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments
• Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing patient flow efficiently
• Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA regulations

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry dentistry environments
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or similar platforms is a plus
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices
• Hands-on experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry practices
• Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and effectively while following HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy
• Strong understanding of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques within a healthcare setting
• Experience working with pediatric patients is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for working with children is essential

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
