Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures.
• Assist dentists during various treatments by handing instruments, managing suction, and providing chairside support with precision and efficiency.
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment details using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and answer questions to promote understanding and comfort.
• Follow infection control protocols by practicing aseptic techniques, handling medical imaging equipment safely, and adhering to OSHA standards.
• Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing patient check-in/out processes as a dental receptionist, and verifying insurance information.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare environment is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic or similar medical documentation platforms is a plus.
• Certification in X-ray techniques for dental radiography; ability to operate 3D scanners or other medical imaging devices is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management.
• Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist; ability to explain procedures clearly and compassionately to pediatric patients is desirable.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards.

Pay: $200.00 - $700.00 per week
