Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures.
- Assist dentists during various treatments by handing instruments, managing suction, and providing chairside support with precision and efficiency.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment details using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and answer questions to promote understanding and comfort.
- Follow infection control protocols by practicing aseptic techniques, handling medical imaging equipment safely, and adhering to OSHA standards.
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing patient check-in/out processes as a dental receptionist, and verifying insurance information.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic or similar medical documentation platforms is a plus.
- Certification in X-ray techniques for dental radiography; ability to operate 3D scanners or other medical imaging devices is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management.
- Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist; ability to explain procedures clearly and compassionately to pediatric patients is desirable.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards.

Pay: $200.00 - $700.00 per week
