We are a small, friendly private general dental practice. looked for an experienced dental assistant. We're a one provider practice with a close-knit team, and looking for someone who is being hands on, organized, and part of a positive work environment.

What You'll do

  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures.
  • Assist dentists during a wide range of treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Soft Dental ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding.
  • Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs to ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment following aseptic techniques and infection control standards aligned with HIPAA regulations.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA privacy policies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding systems used in dental records management.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as soft dental.
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards.
