Dental Assistant

Job Overview
Sunset Children's Dentistry is seeking a full-time, highly skilled, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team! We are a private pediatric practice located in the heart of Lexington, committed to providing exceptional care in a warm and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Gather and document patients’ medical and dental history.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions for oral care.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene (brushing, flossing, etc.).
• Chart treatments and clinical notes in Eaglesoft.
• Perform dental cleanings/prophylaxis, fluoride application, and place sealants.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain clean treatment rooms.
• Support overall office cleanliness and assist with additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Radiography Certification (Required)
• Nitrous Oxide Certification (Required)
• Previous dental assisting experience (pediatric experience a plus)
• Knowledge of Eaglesoft preferred
• Strong communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
