Job Summary
Children’s Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant to be a part of our growing team. We are a pediatric dental practice and the candidate must love working with children. We are looking for an outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic individual. Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Educates on the importance of dental hygiene, assists dentist and participates with communicating dental treatment options.
  • Take dental X-rays to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Provide chairside support by handling dental terminology, and maintaining infection control standards.
  • Measure patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Must possess verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to connect with patients and build new relationships.
  • Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings, other meetings as requested and in-service trainings.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills and promotes teamwork.
  • Follows all clinical protocols and procedures as outlined in the Provider Handbook.
  • Dentrix software experience is recommended but not a must.
  • Bilingual is a plus but not necessary.
  • Certification or training in chairside assisting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is highly valued

The position will be 5 days per week typically and may require a day(s) off depending on doctor schedule. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday’s, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Starting salary will be determined depending on experience. Benefits are available after 90 day probationary period.
