Dental Assistant

Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment to ensure efficient patient care.
• Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions and pediatric treatments.
• Take and develop dental X-rays utilizing digital sensors
• Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to accurately document patient information, medical history, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
• Ensure all procedures follow infection control standards and maintain a sterile environment through proper aseptic techniques and knowledge of anatomy.

Experience

• Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays and vital signs measurement.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential for success in this role..
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy is required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting four-handed dentistry practices while maintaining high standards of care. Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
