Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical assisting, patient care, and dental procedures, with a focus on delivering exceptional service. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and safety. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures in general dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Manage patient records using electronic medical record systems such with Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide chairside assistance through four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Conduct vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to promote informed decision-making.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow efficiently.
- Operate advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment for precise diagnostics.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant within a general or specialized dental practice a plus, but not a requirement.
- Proficiency in Dentrix managing dental records and documentation.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security.
- Familiarity with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures.
- Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting with expertise in four-handed dentistry and medical imaging procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and collaboration with the dental team.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
