Dentistry For Children at St. Joseph’s Medical Center – Yonkers, NY

We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our busy pediatric and orthodontic practice.

About the Role:
Join a fast-paced, high-volume practice serving a diverse pediatric population. This is a great opportunity for a skilled assistant who thrives in a team-oriented environment and enjoys working with children.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pediatric dentists and orthodontists chairside
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories
• Take radiographs (as permitted by NYS regulations)
• Support patient flow in a busy clinical setting
• Provide a positive, comforting experience for pediatric patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications:

• Prior dental assisting experience required (pediatric and/or orthodontic preferred)
• Proficient at taking intra-oral, PANO and Cephalametric X-rays
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly, patient-focused demeanor
