Dental Assistant

Seeking a Dental Assistant to join our friendly practice in downtown Farmington, Maine. We provide hands on training with technologies such as intra-oral scanning, crown design, and milling. We also perform 3D scanning & printing, allowing us to provide high quality care for our patients.

The ideal candidate will have prior assisting experience, a State of Maine Dental Radiology License, and be either a Certified Dental Assistant or an Expanded Function Dental Assistant, HOWEVER we are willing to train the right candidate and certification is not required!!

Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, prosthodontics and endodontics.
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection control protocols.
• Take dental radiographs, ensuring accurate medical imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning
• Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow efficiency and patient comfort.
• Maintain smooth office workflow and team environment by working with others to complete central sterilization center tasks, equipment maintenance and cleaning, and all other tasks as assigned.
