Dental Assistant

Job Overview
Join our dynamic mobile dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. We take dentistry to the senior community in Salt Lake, Bountiful, Ogden, Lehi and Provo areas. In this vital role, you will assist the dentist and/or hygienist during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the proceedures go smoothly and efficiently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to positive patient experiences and the overall success of our practice.

Duties

  • Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical dentistry treatments.
  • Effiecient at taking dental X-rays digital xrays, impressions and charting
  • Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems using Denticon ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Perform chairside assisting with aseptic techniques, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, post-operative care, and dental terminology to foster understanding and comfort throughout their visit.

Qualifications

  • Prefer 1 year experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics.
  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, infection control practices, and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral health.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical records management is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively while adhering to HIPAA standards for patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals. Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
