Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring an aseptic environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and providing chairside support.
• Properly break rooms down after procedures and follow infection control protocols.
• Stocking supplies throughout the office
• Take dental X-rays using Dexis Imaging Software
• Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems (Dentrix) ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
• Making provisional crowns
• Taking alginate impressions
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and unscheduled treatment, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, answering phone calls, charting files, and managing medical documentation efficiently.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the team through four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient care and reduce procedure time.
• Cleaning operatories, bathrooms, waiting room, lab, and other areas of the office if need be.
• Collecting garbage daily

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy is preferred.
• Proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, X-ray techniques, and infection control practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with Dentrix EMR system and Dexis Imaging Software is preferred
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with children is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform vital signs assessment and medical imaging accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages. Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
