Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team Monday-Friday, or Monday-Wednesday. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Take and develop X-rays, utilizing advanced 3D scanning technology as required.
- Manage patient records, including medical coding and documentation of treatments performed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment within the dental clinic.
- Support in general dentistry tasks as well as specialized procedures such as endodontics when necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency with 3D scanners and X-ray technology.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with general dentistry procedures and terminology.
- Experience with medical coding for accurate record keeping.
- Ability to assist effectively in endodontic treatments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy clinic environment.
Experience required, additional training available. Pay dependent on applicant's knowledge base and skill set.
