Job Overview
We are a privately owned/operated private practice seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental family. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize iTero for imaging and assist in creating dental models.
- Maintain accurate dental/medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans.
- Perform dental coding for insurance claims and patient billing.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
- Spanish speaker is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Knowledge of general dentistry practices, endodontics, and oral su.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Must be committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
