Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
  • Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for record management.

Skills

  • Proficient in medical coding and understanding of dental terminology.
  • Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental practices.
  • Experience with medical imaging techniques.
  • Familiarity with four-handed dentistry practices.
  • Strong understanding of infection control standards.
  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
