Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records, medical history, and vital signs.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for patient management and documentation.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
• Manage appointment scheduling, including coordinating with the dental receptionist for optimal patient flow.
• Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures with a focus on creating a comfortable experience for younger patients.
• Conduct preliminary assessments including taking medical histories and vital signs as needed.
• Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques to enhance patient care.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in:

• General dentistry practices along with specialized areas such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics.
• Proficient use of 3D scanners and medical imaging technologies.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and compliance in all aspects of care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
