Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures. Ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols.
• Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture accurate diagnostic images while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) Dentrix
• Take vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, disinfecting treatment areas, and following OSHA guidelines.
• Support front desk operations and assist dental hygienist throughout the day
• Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and team members.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with general dentistry procedures is essential.
• Hands-on experience with dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and medical documentation is required.
• Knowledge of EMR systems including Dentrix.
• Understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and HIPAA compliance is critical for maintaining a safe environment.
• Assist dental hygiene team.
• Certification in dental assisting or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; ongoing training in medical coding or advanced imaging techniques is advantageous. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
