Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! Duties

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards.
  • Assist dentists chairside during procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
  • Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; document medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes.
  • Provide excellent dental reception support by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and verifying insurance information.
  • Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care to promote ongoing dental wellness.
  • Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical coding, medical records management, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical documentation and records management is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in pediatric dentistry settings when needed.
  • Competence in taking X-rays (including digital radiography) and operating medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists.
