Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic, providing excellent patient care, and supporting the dentist during treatments.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
• Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use.
• Perform chairside assisting duties, including suctioning, retraction, and passing instruments during dental procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations.
• Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
• Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and preventive measures.
• Manage patient records accurately, including updating medical histories and treatment notes.
• Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively.

Experience
The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a dental clinic setting. Familiarity with endodontics is preferred. A solid understanding of dental systems, terminology, and anatomy is essential for success in this role. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in assisting techniques and have a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care. Experience with dental reception tasks will be considered an asset.
