We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental Office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, providing comfort and support throughout their visit.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Operate dental equipment and assist in taking radiographs as needed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas according to infection control protocols.
- Support pediatric dentistry practices by engaging with young patients in a friendly manner.
Skills
- Must be a DA II Certified in North Carolina.
- Proficiency in dental terminology.
- Experience working with children is a plus.
- Coronal polishing certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Willingness to learn new software system.
