Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our new state of the art dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and administrative skills, making it essential for candidates to be well-versed in various dental systems and procedures.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment through proper infection control practices.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse, as needed.
- Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns patients may have.
- Assist with prosthodontics procedures, ensuring that patients are comfortable throughout their treatment.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling billing inquiries.
- Maintain compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Experience in dental reception duties is a plus.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
