Dental Assistant

Overview
We are looking for a dental assistant to join our periodontal dental team and become a vital part of delivering exceptional healthcare! In this role, you will support dentists and hygienists by providing chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. We are looking for someone who wants to expand their knowledge and training in dentistry. We perform complex periodontal surgeries which requires attention to medical conditions and the use of PRF. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will be needed. Training including phlebotomy training will be provided. Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during various periodontal procedures.
• Retain a license to operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CBCT and 3D scanners to capture accurate images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Manage patient records using Softdent & dexis.
• Take vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing reassurance and support as needed.
• Clerical duties such as writing surgical letters to referring doctors and medical clearance letters to the patient's physician.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with the team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during procedures while demonstrating strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.

Skills

• Experience with medical imaging techniques such as X-ray imaging relevant to dental diagnostics.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting with competence
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
• Experience in periodontics a plus

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
