DENTAL ASSSISTANT

Qualifications for Dental Assistant:

• Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program
• Current X-ray certification and CPR certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Detail-oriented and organized

Full Job Description for Dental Assistant:

• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for dental procedures
• Assist dentists and hygienists during examinations and treatments
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Record patient dental and medical history
• Prepare dental materials, such as cement, amalgam, or composite
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Maintain patient records and schedule appointments
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as billing and insurance claims
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
