DENTAL ASSSISTANT
Qualifications for Dental Assistant:
- Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program
- Current X-ray certification and CPR certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Detail-oriented and organized
Full Job Description for Dental Assistant:
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for dental procedures
- Assist dentists and hygienists during examinations and treatments
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Record patient dental and medical history
- Prepare dental materials, such as cement, amalgam, or composite
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain patient records and schedule appointments
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as billing and insurance claims
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
