Dental Assistant

Duties

• Prepare treatment areas with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for each patient visit
• Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
• Take dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment such digital radiography systems, intraoral and extraoral cameras, and digital scanner
• Manage patient records accurately within Eaglesoft, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times
• Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and patient comfort
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient readiness before procedures while practicing aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards
• Support administrative tasks

Skills

• Proficiency with dental software (Eaglesoft or similar EMR system)
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to general dentistry
• Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures
• Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes within a dental clinic setting
• Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures when needed
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and documentation

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
