Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Dental Assistant who brings both strong clinical skills and a genuine heart for patient care. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates with kindness and professionalism, and is a true team player who supports colleagues without hesitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional chairside assistance during a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, crown and bridge, and more
- Fabricate and place provisional/temporary crowns with precision and efficiency
- Take and process digital X-rays (FMX, BWX, periapicals, panoramic)
- Perform coronal polishing and assist with dental hygiene procedures as permitted
- Take impressions, pour and trim study models
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and operatory according to OSHA and infection control standards
- Accurately document patient records and treatment notes in dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
- Seat patients, review medical histories, and take vitals
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked operatory at all times
- Support front desk staff as needed and contribute to overall office flow
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience (required)
- Genuine compassion and empathy — you treat every patient like family
- Excellent chairside manner with the ability to calm anxious patients
- Strong team player who lifts others up and communicates openly
- Demonstrated proficiency in fabricating temporary/provisional crowns
- Radiology certification (required per Florida state regulations)
- Proficiency with dental practice management software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
